Each workshop season, we award fellowships to promising students in need to take our workshops for free. To be eligible, applicants must not be currently enrolled in a graduate writing program or have previously published (or had accepted for publication) a chapbook or full-length collection of poems. Applicants are limited to one fellowship every two years, two fellowships lifetime. Fellowship finalists also receive a deep discount on workshop registration.
To apply for a fall 2017 fellowship, submit 4–5 poems, published or unpublished, 8 pages max. Include a cover letter describing your writing background, interest in a particular workshop, and financial need (250–350 words). Applications are due by Sunday, September 10 (11:59 PM). Fellowship decisions will be announced the following week.
