Brooklyn Poets offers a limited number of work-study internships to provide aspiring poets (who have not yet published a book) with the opportunity to participate in our workshops, craft labs and other paid programs for free. If you would like to apply for an internship, please fill out the application form and include in the background field a 150–300 word personal statement describing your current situation, writing background, and work experience and skills, and telling us what draws you to Brooklyn Poets and why you are interested in interning for us. Interns earn $15/hr in work credits for working in our space and assisting with sales, community engagement, and events, which can be applied toward program fees. Internships require a 3–4 month commitment of part-time hours, typically 4–8 hours per week depending on availability.
