Drop-In Classes

In our hour-long drop-in classes, teachers guide students through generative writing exercises and/or discussions of poems using different model poems, lessons and prompts each session. Weekly sessions focus around different forms, themes and approaches to reading and writing poetry. Sharing of work by participants is encouraged but optional. Note that drop-in classes are not a forum for critique of work; students looking for critique should register for multi-week workshops. You can view our Youth Summer Saturday drop-ins here.

We strongly encourage all in-person workshop participants to wear masks. Workshop participants may be required to wear masks as an accessibility accommodation for other participants or the instructor. Participants agree to abide by our code of conduct and COVID-19 policy.
